Description: This is our first coffee we’ve received directly from our pal, Ricardo Mora, who’s farm called “Origenes” works with the local Co-Op: Cooperativa Agricola. This past year we visited Origenes, which is still a burgeoning coffee farm, split into 3 sections overseen by a few partners of Ricardo.

Ricardo is and has been our primary contact in Costa Rica, as well as the exporter of all our direct-trade parters in Costa Rica. In addition to his exports and his coffee farm, he also teaches other farmers how to grow their coffee varietals in a way that will be able to compete on the worldstage and introduces them to new varietals non-native to Costa Rica.

We’re really excited to be able to bring this first coffee to life in our cafes and support such an amazing, warm-hearted Costa Rican. If you want to see an interview with him, check our blog.
