Ladies and Gentlemen, the time has come. Yes the sun is still beating down on us, but the whispers of cool air are starting to make their way into the morning hours. Sweaters and hoodies that haven't seen the light of day since January are starting to make their return. Beanies and Uggs have already been spotted (way too soon) around here. A number of iced drinks are starting to be ordered hot again. Alas, PSL season is upon us!
Coffee + FallThere's something that feels right about drinking coffee in the Fall. We drink coffee everyday and many of you do as well; however, when the leaves start to change color, the coffee seems to taste better. Chilled mornings are made complete with something warm to drink, waking you up a little easier as the sun begins to take longer and longer to wake up itself. Cooler weather means slightly more time inside, and the best place to hang inside is in one of our cafes . Lattes are absolutely the drink of choice during the transitional season, and nothing quite seems to land better than the Pumpkin Spice Latte.
PSLPumpkin Spice. It's in everything it seems. Candles, soaps, deodorants (yes, really) and just about anything else you can think of, including lattes. Now we get it, some people can't stand the year to year PSL onslaught. Some people enjoy it for a time, but think it's really overdone. Still others have been waiting the entire year for this very moment. Wherever you land on the PSL-excitement spectrum, one thing is certain: ours rocks.
That's a bold claim, and we know it. We're proud of ours for a few reasons. First, like nearly all of our syrups, we make our pumpkin spice syrup in-house with real ingredients that you can pronounce. We can't stand the chemical-laden, fake taste of that Petri dish syrup other stores carry. Secondly, ours actually tastes like pumpkin spice, not sugar overload. We're proud of our PSL because its flavors come alive, rather than simply dousing some pumpkin and cloves in sugar. You'll notice that our pumpkin spice latte is significantly more savory than some others. We try to make it approachable, enjoyable and not too in-your-face. It's more of a subtle, yummy latte, speaking to your tastebuds in lowercase, not ALL CAPS.
'Tis the SeasonAs we do every year, we are going to be offering a number of fall seasonal drinks in addition to the pumpkin spice latte. Even if you're planning to drink pour-overs and espresso the entire season, consider giving one a try. We promise you'll like it. There's just something about flannels, beanies and pumpkin spice lattes. If you're not a fan of the PSL, odds are that you have someone close to you who is. Treat them to the best PSL in Nashville this season. We could all use a little comfort latte here and there.
