Las Margaritas 26, Geisha from the top of Costa Rica

Quick History

Las Margaritas 26 is placed squarely on one of the highest points in Costa Rica. As Emmanuel Solis mentions in the conversation we had with him, people thought he was crazy to buy the land at first. No one thought anything would grow, and especially not consistently due to the rain and changing climate of Costa Rica. Fast forward several years and now Emmanuel is our go-to coffee producer for Geisha varietals. We met him back in 2019, and simply by tasting the cherry off of the vine we were hooked.

Emmanuel isn’t only a coffee producer, but he is a land developer. He grows other crops such as strawberries, golden berries, flowers, etc. as well as housing his own milling station on the property. He and the team at Las Margaritas show exactly why Santa Maria de Dota is such as special place in Tarrazu for coffee to be grown. The natural beauty, laid back culture and ever-striving spirit bring us back year over year to purchase the amazing coffee from Las Margaritas.
